Jeff Alston
Jeff was in the counseling field for a decade and spent two decades as a Virginia high school coach. In 2018, he received a calling into the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Ministry. In 2020 he was commissioned through FCA and then ordained by Journey Church Central Virginia 2021 serving the Battlefield Area as Area Representative over three counties. He is currently an Area Director overseeing eight counties of the Virginia Piedmont Region for FCA. Jeff has filled in for a number of churches in the area since being called into ministry. He is married to Shelly Alston and Dad to Makenzie Alston. Jeff’s insightful sermons often use sports metaphors to help connect listeners with the word of God.
Heath Honse
Heath was born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania in a small town call Mount Pleasant. He attended college for aviation and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for 25 years as an air traffic controller and air traffic manager for 23 and spent the last two years at the FAA Command Center doing aviation security work. He was recently called to ministry after 52 years of Christian belief. He resides on a farm in Bumpass with his wife, Elizabeth, two children; Joshua and Olivia and a spoiled Weimaraner named Wynie. His Bible-verse based, personal sermons bring practical takeaways each time he is in the pulpit.
